Canadian Tire Jumpstart Ups Its Game With A New Integrated Accounting System from Altus Dynamics
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 17th, 2012, Toronto, ON – Canadian based Microsoft Dynamics ERP & CRM solutions provider, Altus Dynamics, is delighted to announce that nationally renowned charity, Canadian Tire Jumpstart has selected them to implement their new financial account solution.
Since its creation in 2005, Canadian Tire Jumpstart has grown steadily and now encompasses more than 310 national chapters across Canada. But with that growth was the need for a financial and operational system that could handle the current and future scale of their operation. The team at Jumpstart identified the requirement for a robust, scalable accounting system tailored for not-for-profit organizations of Jumpstart’s size. The solution had to be able to support sustainable long term growth through improved visibility, transparency, cost containment processes and accountability, along with an increase in process automation. It needed to be able to integrate with existing software solutions in place, in order to create an efficient means of running Jumpstart’s operations in the most effectual manner possible.
"We already had a solution in place but it was decided that in order to continue to grow and provide even better service to financially disadvantaged kids, we needed to change to a system that would allow us to do so” commented Laura Sims, Manager, Finance and Administration at Jumpstart. “We had been aware of and impressed with Altus from a previous project and were interested in seeing how they could meet this new requirement. We had our list of what we were ideally looking for and they ticked the boxes.” she added.
“We are very excited to welcome Jumpstart to our growing list of charity clients. The work they do with disadvantaged children fits perfectly with other Altus clients such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada or Pathways To Education. All of these groups support kids who lack access to schooling, mentoring and guidance and playing sports. To be able to support these groups with what we do to improve what they do is truly rewarding” commented Colin Dickinson, Managing Partner at Altus Dynamics.
Altus’ strength lies in their focus on the public sector; from not-for-profits through educational to government organizations. Coupled with the Microsoft Dynamics platform, they can offer clients the Best of Both Worlds – a world class base product supported by the might of Microsoft with Altus’ deep vertical knowledge and expertise in their focused sectors.
“We at Altus, and myself personally, always find it very rewarding when we can meet the specific functional requirements of a client. Altus has made significant research and development investments to provide clients with a true-fit non-profit based ERP system. It is very satisfying that these investments continue to provide an ‘NFP solution’ that fits the needs of a modern charity like Jumpstart”, added James Faw, VP of Product Innovation at Altus Dynamics.
